1. Respect for Intellectual Property
Movie Covers respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects our users to do the same. We respond to notices of alleged copyright infringement in accordance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) and applicable laws.
2. Content Sources
Movie Covers displays film information, images, and trailers sourced from third-party APIs under their terms of service:
- Movie data and images: Provided by The Movie Database (TMDB) under their API terms of use.
- Trailers: Embedded from YouTube using their official embed player.
- Supplementary data: Sourced from OMDb and Watchmode APIs.
We do not host or store copies of copyrighted films, full-length videos, or pirated content.
3. Filing a DMCA Takedown Notice
If you believe that content on Movie Covers infringes your copyright, please send a written notice to our designated agent containing the following:
- A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or a person authorised to act on their behalf.
- Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed.
- Identification of the material that is claimed to be infringing, including the URL(s) where it appears on our Website.
- Your contact information (name, address, telephone number, email).
- A statement that you have a good faith belief that the use of the material is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorised to act on the copyright owner's behalf.

5. Counter-Notification
If you believe your content was removed in error, you may file a counter-notification containing:
- Your physical or electronic signature.
- Identification of the material that was removed and the location where it appeared before removal.
- A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief the material was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification.
- Your name, address, telephone number, and email address.
- A statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the courts in your district and that you will accept service of process from the person who filed the original DMCA notice.
6. Repeat Infringers
We will terminate the accounts of users who are repeat copyright infringers in appropriate circumstances.
7. User-Generated Content
Users are solely responsible for the content they submit (reviews, comments). If you submit content, you represent that you have the right to do so and that it does not infringe any third-party rights.
