Overview

Run by a gloriously eccentric Englishwoman, Lydia Fonseca, this under-funded but creatively resourceful cottage hospital is the beating heart of the local community. It’s much more than just a medical outpost - it’s a home.

This is one of those British family-safe shows that for me started way back in the Jurassic Period with All Creatures Great and Small and continued on with many similar offerings. They are known as Dramadies, I think, comedy-dramas I mean similar in style, not plot or characters necessarily. Lark Rise to Candleford and Call the Midwife also come to mind. I think they sometimes ran on Sunday nights...
