He excelled in athletics as a child and is a national second-level athlete. He came from a rural background and worked several jobs to support himself and his family before joining "Produce Camp 2021".
In 2021, he was invited to "Produce Camp 2021" as a trainee. During his time on "Produce Camp 2021", he gained popularity for being awkward and humble despite his attractive appearance. He only trained for one month in singing and dancing before the show. Even though his skills were lacking compared to other trainees, he made it to the finale and ranked #14 due to his personality and quick learning.
