Irving grew up in West Orange, New Jersey and attended Duke University. After one season, he declared for the NBA draft and was selected with the first overall pick by the Cleveland Cavaliers in 2011. He is known as one of the best ball-handlers in the history of the NBA and one of the best point guards of the 21st century.
