Graduated in philosophy from USP, she began making films after participating in the filming of the short Um Clássico, Dois em Casa e Não Jogo Fora (1968), by Djalma Limongi Batista. Directed the feature films Crystals of Blood (1975) and United States of Brazil (2005).
