Puthooramputhri Unniyarcha movie is an adaptation of a story taken from the annals of the Vadakkanpaattu. Unniyarcha (Vani Viswanath) who is the bold and beautiful daughter of Kannappa Chekavar (Captain Raju) of Puthooram Veedu is a great fighter too. She is betrothed to her cousin Chandu (Devan) during childhood. But as she grows up, she begins to develop an aversion towards him.
