Der Polizist Olaf Stern soll als verdeckter Ermittler in einer Großmarkthalle einen türkischen Gemüsehändler observieren. Unter dem Decknamen seines Kumpels Cem Yilmaz schleust sich Olaf auf dem Großmarkt ein. Ohne zu wissen, wer sie ist, verliebt er sich dabei in Nihan, die Tochter des Gemüsehändlers Ismael. Nihan jedoch hat sich geschworen, dass für sie nur ein Landsmann in Frage kommt. Also spielt Olaf auch privat den Türken, so lange bis es am Gemüsemarkt zum Eklat kommt ...
