Mukthi movie is all about Haridas (Mammootty) who is the son of a village peon, who returns to his home district as the central government-appointed Collector. The two brothers engage in dangerous one-upmanship, as Sudhakaran joins a political party opposed to Haridas. One of IV Sasi's best films, good performances from the entire cast.
