What Others Said

r96sk: 'Autumn' is uneventful. Much prefer 'Summer', me. This second sequel to 'Spring' isn't necessarily all that negative, it's just quite a boring movie from beginning to end - which is disappointing. It does some things better than the first release (which I found to be quite average in itself), though due to frankly how dull this all is I'd actually rank it lower than that flick from 1970. It remains pleasing to see the original cast members continue in their respective roles. Margus Lepa gets full rein in this 1990 production as the lead and does a solid enough job, whilst we happily still get (relatively minor) appearances from the likes of Arno Liiver and Aare Laanemets. Events do get a bit odd when Vรคino Laes appears as Oskar Luts (the author of the novels that these films are adaptations of), though the film does conclude with a rather sweet homage to the main cast/characters. Overall, I can't say I enjoyed this one but it still isn't anything bad.
