Overview

This short film takes place one frantic night as a beautiful young sex worker waits for her salesman lover to whisk her away from her last night on the strip to live happily ever after. But it’s 1975 and she’s a Māori drag queen. And he’s not the ‘white knight’ he said he was.

GURL is a short film based on the night life of the famous trans women sex worker Carmen Rupe from New Zealand. After being assaulted she meets a famous retired Rugby player who played for the All Blacks that offered her a hand in kindness. This film not only had amazing music, editing but also some great acting as well....
